Our take

CleanPlate review

Very high protein and fibre, with some processing.

Phab's Strawberry and Greek Yogurt bar is built on whey and pea protein isolates, soy granules and date paste, with a sugar-free white chocolate.

CleanPlate scores it [L]BC4. The B for nutrition reflects 32 g of protein and 12 g of fibre per 100 g, with part of the fibre from added FOS. The C for ingredients and label reflects isolates and additives, and a strawberry name carried by strawberry flavouring on top of a little real fruit, hence the [L]. The 4 for risk comes from date-paste sugar, saturated fat and sodium.

Claims vs reality

What the pack says, checked against the ingredient list and nutrition panel.

  • Product name

    “11g Protein”

    Holds

    32 g per 100 g, 37% of calories, so about 11 g in a 35 g bar.

  • Product name

    “Strawberry and Greek Yogurt”

    Misleading

Dehydrated strawberry and yogurt powder are minor ingredients with no % given, and strawberry flavouring tops them up.
